WHAT ARE PORCELAIN DENTAL CROWNS?

A dental crown (also known as a “tooth cap”) can rebuild a struggling’s tooth function, natural shape, and appearance while preserving the remaining structure underneath. We offer several materials for these versatile restorations, but our doctors recommend tooth-colored porcelain in most cases to help the patient maintain an aesthetically pleasing appearance that leaves them smiling proudly. Porcelain crowns aren’t just beautiful – they’re also durable and long-lasting!

Our Broken Arrow, OK team can design and place your brand-new, customized crown over the span of a few appointments. Once placed, your new dental crown can be treated just like a natural tooth with diligent brushing and flossing at least once a day. Remember to schedule a dental check-up and cleaning every six months as well!

So we found this dentistry and thought we check it out. The staff are very nice, they give you a tour and informative of the dentists and the services they provide. My daughter felt comfortable and noticed the differences from our past dentist. So if she’s all in, I’m going to use the services as well. They were able to get me an initial assessment immediately following my daughters cleaning. I would recommend this dentistry to anyone who is searching for a more detailed and skilled dentistry!

The staff is friendly and very helpful. The wait time is short, to be called back and for the doctor to come in. The payment plans are affordable, the staff is knowledgeable and will work with you to help you get the treatment you need. The reception staff to dentist are patient and do not mind questions. Another big thing, for most people, they are open on Saturday. So you do Not have to miss work to get your dental needs met.

Each visit with Flawless Smile is so pleasant. The front office staffers all greet me with a friendly “Hello” and smile. I have never waited more than 5 or 10 minutes to get taken back to the dental area by another smiling staff member. I am a different person because of my treatment at Flawless Smile. Different meaning I’m no longer depressed because I don’t have to hide my smile every minute of the day. It’s amazing how being able to smile changes every aspect of my life.

I have dentures that are screwed in and I was having to go to either Kansas City or Oklahoma City from Tulsa to get them worked on fallstona was able to put these in and keep them clean for me and it's a lot closer than a two or four hour drive. Everyone I've met at the staff and the doctor is great I would recommend this especially if you're looking for dentures.

I really felt that all employees/staff were more than good to me. Made me feel like family almost and really seemed to care. They definitely wanted me to get the best service possible and I'm excited to go back again. My next appointment will be getting 7 teeth pulled and instead of feeling nervous as I usually do, I feel completely ready to get it done and have total faith in the dentist there to do good work. I know I'm in good hands!

            FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The right type of crown depends on the location of the damaged tooth, your bite, cosmetic preferences, and any metal allergies. For back teeth under heavy chewing forces, zirconia crowns or lithium disilicate options offer exceptional strength. For front teeth, porcelain crowns or ceramic crowns provide a natural look that blends seamlessly with adjacent teeth. During your visit, your dentist evaluates the remaining tooth structure, your oral health, and the way your opposing teeth function to recommend the most durable and aesthetic choice.
A temporary crown protects the prepared tooth until the permanent crown is ready from the dental lab or in-office milling system. Temporary restorations prevent sensitivity, keep the gum line stable, and stop the existing tooth from shifting. When your final crown is ready, it replaces the temporary crown using strong dental cement for long-term stability and a natural look.
Yes, a dental crown is often the preferred treatment for a cracked tooth, a broken tooth, or a weak tooth that cannot be repaired with filling material alone. Crowns reinforce the treated tooth, restore full function, and prevent further tooth decay or fracture. When paired with root canal treatment for deeper cracks or infection, a crown can save the natural tooth and help you maintain a healthy smile long-term.
Modern types of dental crowns — including porcelain crowns, zirconia crowns, and ceramic crowns — are designed to last many years with proper oral hygiene and routine dental visits. Their longevity depends on your bite, clenching habits, gum disease status, and how well you care for your natural teeth. Many patients enjoy over a decade of reliable function, and newer dental crown materials offer excellent durability even for posterior teeth under heavy chewing.

After a local anesthetic, your dentist removes weakened areas of the tooth structure and shapes the tooth for a precise fit. Digital or physical impressions capture the details needed to fabricate your final crown. A temporary restoration is placed until your second visit, when the permanent crown is bonded using strong dental cement for a secure, natural appearance.
